Research line: Cryptography in a quantum world
Supervisors: Christian Schaffner and Harry Buhrman
Coming from a background in artificial intelligence, Yfke developed an interest in the more foundational and theoretical aspects of computer science. After two research projects in Harry Buhrman’s group as part of the Master of Logic at the University of Amsterdam, she officially joined QuSoft in June 2016.
Yfke works on quantum cryptography beyond quantum key distribution. She tries to make classical cryptographic protocols suitable for handling quantum data, and to establish whether their theoretical implications are still valid in a quantum setting.
