After pursuing number theory throughout her studies, Jana Sotáková has moved to research on isogeny graphs and isogeny-based cryptography. She started her PhD in September 2019 at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) at the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of dr. Christian Schaffner, prof. Serge Fehr and dr. Peter Bruin.
Jana works on isogenies, which is a promising area of post-quantum cryptography. She tries to combine the quantum expertise of QuSoft with her number-theoretic background to improve the cryptanalysis of isogeny-based protocols and determine their security in the post-quantum world.
