Research line: Quantum simulation and few-qubit applications
Vladimir received his PhD degree from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) specializing in strongly-correlated condensed matter systems. He moved for postdoc position then to Harvard University working with Prof. E. Demler on physics of ultracold atomic gases and Prof. M. Lukin on strongly correlated quantum optics. He moved then to Switzerland for assistant professor position in 2008 and joined University of Amsterdam in 2013.
In the context of QuSoft research area he is interested in quantum simulation of systems which are relevant for quantum information , quantum optical systems for nanoscale quantum circuits and in topological systems which are aimed to robustly produce correlated many-body quantum states for quantum information applications.
