QuSoft is happy to welcome new senior researcher Dr. Michael Walter, who has joined
us in September 2017. We wish him all the best for his future with QuSoft.
Dr. Walter received his PhD from ETH Zurich. Before joining QuSoft, he was a
Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stanford University.
His research ranges from quantum information and entanglement theory, to
computational complexity and algorithms, to the frontiers of quantum gravity,
combining insights from physics, mathematics, and computation. Very recently he
was awarded an NWO Veni grant for developing theoretical tools to explore the
connections between quantum entanglement and space-time.
Besides doing research at QuSoft, Michael Walter is also an assistant professor at the
University of Amsterdam, where he will teach and supervise graduate and master
students in mathematics, physics, and computer science.
